How do I book?
Simply press the "contact me" button on my website and send me a message!
A $100 deposit for sessions or 30% for weddings and a signed contract/model release is required (for private session please see below).
What time of day do you prefer to photograph & where do you shoot?
Most outdoor sessions take place in the late afternoon around sunset to avoid harsh lighting. Our beautiful parks and beaches are among some of the greatest locations for sessions.
What should we wear, and should we bring anything? Here are a few suggestions:
Newborns (up to 14 days old)
-Anything special you want your newbie to be photographed with (all props are provided- bringing something is optional)
-timeless clothing without patterns
Maternity
-I always recommend a maternity gown! I have many to choose from or you can bring your own
-sonogram photos
-baby shoes
-special items you would like to be photographed with
Families and Children
-accessories, such as headbands, bows, scarves, jewelry, jackets and hats can really add to your look
-avoid all white or all black color combos
-avoid matching outfits, but rather try to find outfits that compliment each other
-avoid clothing with logos and busy patterns that will distract
-pops of color
-denim
-dress shirt
-boots
-dress
-tutu
-props- bubbles, lollipops, fake snow, anything fun!
Grads
-simple, timeless clothing
-skirt, dress, dress shirt
-colors
-change of outfit
-Letterman jacket
-anything you want your grad to be photographed with
How long after my session can I see the photographs?
2-3 weeks after your session I will give you a password to your private online gallery. These images will be available to view and order from for one week.
When should I schedule my session? The sooner the better. I recommend booking your wedding at least 6 months to a year in advance to ensure availability.
Do you offer "private" sessions? Yes, if a private session is wanted the session fees are doubled. Otherwise a model release/signed contract is required to book.
Why aren't all sessions private? As a client, you are commissioning Rachel Higgins Photography to take photographs and create art of you and your family. Without displaying my art I would not have a portfolio, nor would anyone hire me.

When is payment due? Payment is due the day of your session, a $75 non-refundable deposit is required. Weddings and engagement/wedding packages require a non-refundable 30% deposit to hold your date. The deposit will be subtracted from your package. The remaining amount is due 2 weeks prior to your wedding.
What types of payment do you accept?
I accept all major credit cards with a 3% fee, cash, check, Venmo, Zelle, Cash App, and Apple Pay.
